Bookings on the till

For everyone · updated 18 Oct 2026

The board shows each table's next booking, holds a table as its guests are due, and lists who's arriving in the next hour.

Till Tables

  1. Tables · Bookings · Waitlist at the top switch between the board, the day's book and the waitlist.
  2. A table's tile shows its next booking ("8:30 · Lee · 2 · 72 min"). Close to the time a free table reads Held for 7:30; a bar fills as the guests at it run into the next booking.
  3. Arriving · next hour lists who's due, their allergies and occasions, and their table. Tap Seat at T2: their order opens with the party already set.
  4. Their table busy still? Seat… shows the tables free now and for how long.
  5. A strip at the top tells every till about a new booking, a cancellation close to the time or a guest running late. Show opens it.

Example

Priya arrives

"7:30 · Priya Nair · 4 · Confirmed · Nut allergy · Birthday · Held: T2 (4)". Tap Seat at T2: the order opens on T2 for 4, and the booking turns Seated on every till and in the back office.

What happens when they pay?

The booking finishes by itself and the table frees for the next booking.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The till keeps the book and works out free times itself; changes upload when it's back. If two bookings meet on one table, both stay and show Needs a table.

If it goes wrong

No Bookings tab on the till

Bookings are off for this branch (Settings › Bookings), or the till hasn't synced since they were switched on. Check the till is online.
