Late guests, no-shows and cancellations

For everyone · updated 18 Oct 2026

A late table is held for a while, then the till asks whether they're a no-show. It never marks it by itself.

Till Tables Arriving

  1. Past the time, the booking turns late on its own ("18 min late"). If the guest tapped Running late, it says what they said.
  2. After your Hold a late table time the card asks Call them.
  3. At your No-show time it asks Mark as no-show?: tap No-show only when you're sure. The table goes back on the floor and it counts on their guest card.
  4. A guest rings to cancel: open the booking, Cancel…, The guest cancelled. If you have to cancel, We have to cancel: they're emailed with your words.

Example

Shah, 7:00 for 3

At 7:15 "Said 'running late, 15 min' at 6:52": the table waits. At 7:35 "Mark as no-show?". They walk in at 7:38: They came after all, then seat them.

Do guests pay for a no-show?

Not yet. Deposits and card holds for big groups and special nights come later, through your own payment account.

If it goes wrong

Marked a no-show by mistake

Open the booking and tap They came after all; it counts as a visit again, not a no-show.
