Take a dish off the menu, or bring it back

For owners and managers · updated 18 Oct 2026

Taking a dish off the menu stops tills offering it. Its sales history stays, and you can bring it back.

Back office Menu (a dish) Take off the menu

  1. Open the dish and tap Take off the menu, then confirm.
  2. To bring it back, open the Removed tab and restore it.
  3. A restored dish comes back unpublished, so guests don't see it until you publish it.

Example

A seasonal dish

The mango lassi comes off the menu in winter: Take off the menu. In summer, restore it from Removed, check the price, and publish it again.

Is taking a dish off the same as sold out?

No. Sold out is for today at one branch. Take off the menu removes it everywhere until you bring it back.

If it goes wrong

I can't find a removed dish in reports

Removed dishes keep their sales history: reports still show them for the dates they sold.
