Add-ons and options

For owners and managers · updated 18 Oct 2026

Add-ons and options are groups of choices on a dish: a spice level to pick, extra toppings with a price, a milk choice. Put a group on a whole category or on chosen dishes.

Back office Menu Add-ons and options New group

  1. Open Menu, then the Add-ons and options tab, and tap New group.
  2. Type the Group name (for example "Extra toppings").
  3. Under Guests choose, pick Only one of them, Optional or Must choose, and how many at most.
  4. Under Add-ons and choices, tap + Add a choice for each one, with its Name and Price (empty for free, or a minus amount for "no cheese").
  5. For dishes with sizes, set a price By size if the add-on costs more on a large.
  6. Under Where it goes, pick whole Categories and/or single dishes.
  7. Tap Save.

Example

Pizza toppings

Group: Extra toppings. Guests choose: Optional, up to 4. Choices: Extra cheese 40, Jalapeños 30, Olives 30, Chicken 60; by size, Extra cheese is 40 on Regular and 60 on Large. Where it goes: the Pizzas category.

Example

Spice level, one required

Group: Spice level. Guests choose: Must choose, only one. Choices: Mild, Medium, Hot (all free). Where it goes: Curries and Biryani.

An add-on ran out. How do I stop staff choosing it?

Tick it Sold out in the group. It's sold out at this branch only, until tomorrow, or until you switch it back.

Is "no onion" an add-on?

Use quick notes for free kitchen instructions like "no onion" or "less spicy": see Categories, courses and quick notes. Use add-ons for choices that change the price or that guests must pick.

If it goes wrong

A dish doesn't show the group on the till

Check Where it goes includes the dish or its category, then wait for the till's next sync.
