The kitchen screen

For everyone · updated 18 Oct 2026

A kitchen screen shows tickets instead of (or as well as) printing them: each card is a round for one table, timed, turning amber and red as it waits.

Back office Devices Connect a screen Kitchen screen

  1. Open Tillmora on the tablet and scan its QR with your phone. Choose Kitchen screen and the stations it shows (see Connect a till or a screen).
  2. To change what it shows later, open it in Devices and pick its Stations. On the screen itself you can also choose one station, all stations, or The pass (expo) (every station, by table), unless the back office has set its stations.
  3. When a dish is ready, tap it; when the whole card is done, tap Bump.
  4. Bumped something by mistake? Tap Recall (anything bumped in the last hour).

Example

The pass on a Friday

One screen at the grill shows Grill; another at the pass shows The pass (expo). When every station's dishes for T6 are ready, the pass shows All ready, and the runner taps Served T6.

What if the screen goes offline?

It shows Offline · tills print instead. With Kitchen screen, printer backup, tills print the tickets so nothing is missed.

What do HELD and FIRED mean?

Held dishes (a later course) show as HELD · Shows when it's fired. When the waiter fires them, they appear as FIRED.

If it goes wrong

"Kitchen screens are off for now"

Kitchen screens are switched off for the restaurant. Stations print tickets as before; ask the owner to turn screens on for the station in the back office.
