The Getting started list
Home shows a short list of what's left to set up. Do them in any order; you can sell before they're all done.
Back office Home Getting started
- Add your menu: add dishes one by one, import a spreadsheet, or tap Sample menu to start from a sample for your kind of place.
- Add your tax number (its name depends on your country, for example GSTIN or ABN), or choose Not registered.
- Set up your tables: tap Add tables, or No tables if you don't use them.
- Pair a till: tap Get a code and type it on the tablet or PC.
- Connect a printer: printers are added on the till, in its settings. Or choose No printer if the kitchen works from a screen.
- Take a test order on the till, then void it.
- Invite your team: each person gets a temporary PIN and chooses their own on the till.
- Publish your menu page: until then your web address shows "coming soon". Table QR ordering works either way.
When everything is done, or you don't need the list, tap Hide Getting started.
Example
Starting from the sample menu
A new café taps Sample menu: seven dishes appear, each marked Sample and priced for the country (a flat white, a cappuccino, a long black, a chai latte, a croissant, banana bread and avocado toast). Editing a dish makes it yours. Later, Remove sample takes away only the sample dishes you haven't edited.
Do I have to finish the list before selling?
No. You need dishes and a paired till to sell. The rest can wait.
Can I bring the list back after hiding it?
It's there while steps are left. Everything on it can also be done from its own page (Menu, Devices, Staff & roles, Settings).
If it goes wrong
"There is no sample menu for this kind of place"
Some kinds of place don't have a sample yet. Add dishes yourself, or import your menu from a spreadsheet: see Add dishes.
