Add a branch

For owners and managers · updated 18 Oct 2026

A branch is one place that sells: its own tills, floor plan, prices if you want, and its own business day. A restaurant can have many branches, and an account can have several restaurants (for example a café and a pizza brand).

Back office Settings Restaurants and branches + Add a branch

  1. Under the restaurant, tap + Add a branch.
  2. Enter the Name, a Short code (shown on bills and reports), the Address and the Time zone.
  3. Set Day starts: the time the business day changes. Sales before it count for the day before.
  4. Under Copy from, choose a branch to copy from, or Nothing: start fresh. You can copy its settings, menu availability and branch prices, floor plan, surcharges, and the staff who will also work here.
  5. Tap Add, then pair a till for the new branch.

Example

A second café that opens late

Harbour Lane opens a Surry Hills branch. They copy from Circular Quay: settings, menu availability, the floor plan, and Priya and Tom as staff (each keeps their PIN and role). Surry Hills closes at 1 am, so Day starts is 4:00: a bill at 12:40 am counts for the night before.

What isn't copied?

Devices and printers (pair new ones for the place), bill numbers (each till starts its own), shifts and orders.

Can I close a branch?

Yes: open it with Manage, then Close branch… (owner only). It becomes read-only: reports, orders, bills and exports stay. You can reopen it within 90 days.

If it goes wrong

Sales after midnight show on the wrong day

Check Day starts for that branch. If it's 0:00, a sale at 12:30 am counts for the new day. Set it to a time after you close, such as 4:00.
