A driver hands in

For everyone · updated 18 Oct 2026

When a driver finishes, count what they bring back. Their orders were already paid when they were delivered; the hand-in puts the cash in your drawer.

Till Deliveries tap the driver Hand in cash…

Or the driver taps I'm at the till · hand in on their phone: every till's tray shows "Jeff is handing in" with the amount; Count it opens the same hand-in. Their phone shows "Handed in ✓" once it's taken.

  1. The list shows each order since their last hand-in: where, how it was paid, the total, the cash and the tip.
  2. Should hand in is the float they took plus the cash they collected.
  3. Count the notes and coins they give you.
  4. A difference within your limit (Settings › Delivery › General) can have a note; over the limit it needs one and goes to Review.
  5. Take: the cash they collected goes into this till's drawer as Driver hand-in · Mia, and the hand-in is kept on their runs. An order still unpaid (for example, delivered through the driver link) is paid here as the guest paid.

Example

Mia took a $20 float and collected $33 cash from Asha (Lee paid by card). She should hand in $53. She hands over a $50 note and a $2 coin: $52, $1 short, inside the $5 limit, so no note is needed.

Are drivers' tips part of the hand-in?

No. Cash tips are theirs and shown separately; card and online tips are paid to them with their wages.

If it goes wrong

"Mia has nothing to hand in"

All her runs are already handed in. Each run is handed in once.

Is a delivery paid when it's delivered?

Yes. When the driver taps Delivered (or you mark it delivered on the board), the bill is paid the way the guest paid at the door: cash, card or QR. The order closes and shows as paid. Card and QR go on the till's shift when it has one; cash is shown as with the driver until they hand in.
